HTSA update 27th April 2020
Updated Date: 28/04/2020 15:03

Dear Parents and Students of HTSA,

Recently, with great sadness we shared the loss of our dear Miruthangam master: Mr Anandanadesan. It was very important for our HTSA family to take some time to recognise and mourn the passing of Anandanadesan Master. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

We as a community should stand together during these difficult times and we should hope and pray that this pandemic will subside very soon.

We hope you all are staying safe. Our children are at home and it is expected that the schools will not recommence any time soon.

The HTSA committee and the Tamil teachers talked over the weekend and have decided to offer virtual Tamil lessons for our students.

The classes will be initially held from 12:30 for a duration of forty minutes on Saturdays and will be offered as free sessions until half term. The committee will assess the effectiveness of these classes and may opt to charge a small fee for any subsequent lessons.

The Classes:

1)      Classes will be held via the “Zoom” app which is available on smart phones, tablets and PCs.

2)      These classes will be conducted by our usual class teachers.

3)      Each class will be facilitated by a committee member who has DBS Clarence

4)      Instructions for joining will be sent in your class WhatsApp group.

5)      The sessions will not be recorded by HTSA.

6)      Classes will be held for Reception A, Rec B1, Rec B2, Yr 1A, Yr 1B, Yr 2A, Yr 2B, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Not nursery)

Rules:

1)      Mute yourself when not speaking.

2)      Be on time.

3)      Ensure your technology works correctly and have the necessary text books, notebook, pencils and pen.

4)      Wear appropriate clothing.

5)      Frame the camera correctly.

6)      Have the right light.

7)      Pay attention.

8)      Parents are not permitted to participate.

9)      Sessions should not be recorded.

10)   By allowing your child to participate in these classes, you must be aware that multiple others will also be on the class including the teacher and other students and that as parentguardian you are giving explicit consent for your child to take part.

For students who are not in HTSA’s current registers and like to follow the classes should contact the secretary.  Email address given below.
