It was a great pleasure serving as a President of Harrow Tamil School Association for last two years. We had to make a few changes to the way we run school, in order to work efficiently, safe guarding our students and build our school with high standard. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support, encouragement and co-operation during my journey in HTSA. Please continue your support to HTSA committee to make changes to our school to achieve gold award in NRCSE framework.
The current committee consists of:

4. Committee members Mrs. A. Anand, Mrs. U. Thayaparan, Mr. S. Manivannan, Mr. S. Murugesan, Mr. P. Saimaruhan, Mr. S. Sanjeev
All the Board of Administrators are willing to serve yet again with the exception of the President Mr Sadachchara, Treasurer Mr Girisanthan, the committee member Mr. S. Murugesan. Within the currently serving committee, Mr. Saimaruhan expressed interest in becoming the next president with the majority backing from the Board of Administrators and the remaining members indicated their eagerness to serve under his guidance. Bearing in mind, the preference will be given to the existing Board of Administrators, if someone still wishes to be considered for any of the above positions, then I will need notification before the closing date which is specified in the nomination form and there must be a proposer and seconder to support the said nomination. In the unlikely event, there are more than one contestant for a position, only if deemed necessary, I will call for a secret balloting to decide the winner on the day of the AGM. However, the BOA will endeavour to do its very best to avoid the secret balloting. Please note, no nomination will be accepted after the closing date, under any circumstances.

Member
Existing parents whose child/children has/have been attending the school for at least one year.
Actively involving and assisting BOA in HTSA’s various activities and events.
Sound knowledge of day to day running of the school.
Assisting with arranging and rearranging all the classrooms back to the way it was.
Ordering and picking up food and provisions for school days (Saturday) and various annual events.
Security clearable (to work with children).
Availability on School days (Saturday) from 12:00pm till 5:00pm to support school.
Availability to participate on School events.
Strong commitment and enthusiasm to serve the school.
Hold no position or being an active member of any another Tamil school.
No association with any organizations or groups which can cause conflict of interest with HTSA.
If a serving member becomes active in any political party during the term, he/she must step-down from the HTSA position.
Existing members wish to serve a second term, he/she will be given the opportunity, if he/she proven to be effective in their serving year.
President/Secretary/Treasurer: In addition to the members' traits, they are are expected to possess the following.
Owing to their experience, preference will be given to the serving members to be elected as President/Secretary/Treasurer.
Existing members wish to serve a second term, he/she will be given the opportunity if he/she proven to be effective in their serving year.
Possesses the ability and knowhow to booking various venues.
Ability to deal with assortment of teachers and attend meetings with them.
Has the skillset to discipline defiant parents as well as children.
Leadership skills.
Patience.
Attentiveness.
Knowledge of the School.
Calming Presence.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and have the ability and capacity to interact with our community in a cordial manner as well as being able to liaise with other external bodies such as the Exam Boards, the Harrow Council, various venues etc.
